Remembering Marcy

Marcy's Last Message.

20 minutes prior to her dying, Marcy woke up from her coma, sat up, looked directly at me and said three things:

“I love you, I will see you on the other side.”
“You live your life after I am gone.”
“And don't do anything stupid.”

Marcy was called home on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019, at 4:59 pm. Her ashes were spread on the grounds of the Midtown Baptist Temple at 40th and Walnut KCMO. Marcyanna’s faith indeed lives on in Spirit.

“Some days, I scream ‘FU’ into the void, only to hear the abyss reply, ‘You have 1,440 moments in a day. How will you spend them?’ Perhaps it’s not the abyss at all, but Marcy—giving me a daily reminder to breathe deeply, stay present, forgive others freely, and enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee.”
